Safety thanks to advanced light

Sensor-controlled lighting: the solution for 24/7 car parks

Car parks and under­ground garages are generally open around the clock. However, if the light is on 24/7, valuable energy is wasted.
A solution to this problem is provided by sensor-switched lighting in the Place des Nations car park, combined with intel­ligent networking and light switching. The excellent illu­mi­nation of all areas gives users the necessary feeling of security and helps them to manoeuvre their vehicles safely!

Top-quality light, low energy consumption

Solution

The lighting in the Places des Nations car park is showing its age. This is why FIPOI, the Fondation des Immeubles pour les Organ­i­sa­tions Inter­na­tionales, was looking for an effi­cient lighting solution.
We replaced the countless fluo­rescent tubes with over 700 wire­lessly networkable RS PRO Connect 5100 SC units from STEINEL. Thanks to the invisible HF motion detectors and the neighbour function, the light leads the way and, so to speak, lights the way through the car park. Depending on the follow-up time, the light auto­mat­i­cally switches off, thus preventing unnec­essary power consumption.
By investing in a modern, energy-effi­cient lighting solution, the car park has been given a completely new image and spending time in the car park has become much more pleasant.

Only the best is good enough

Half measures make no sense when it comes to refur­bishing the lighting in a car park. Although the change from FL tubes to LED is quickly done, if the intel­li­gence is missing – i.e. the sensor tech­nology in and the networking between the lumi­naires – then the possi­bil­ities offered by modern lighting systems today are not fully exploited.

Leave the drill at home for installation 

Simple cabling

Cable entry is possible on both sides, incl. through-wiring. Rear cable entry is also possible on request.

Fewer tools

The lumi­naires have sliding mounting brackets. This means that existing drill holes can be used, which in turn saves a work step.

Inte­grated motion detector

The inte­grated HF motion detector is not visible but extremely flexible. The reach can be adjusted to between 1 and 10 metres.
